CTE Data FAQ

For 00199-Approved CTE Assessment student must be in an approved CTE program, pass the program and each part of the three part CTE Technical Skills assessment then students can get endorsement on diploma and/or use CTE pathway =2 College, career and Civic Readiness points.

Yes.

For CTE Tech Assessment-Other OOC41 take tech assessment in a non approved CTE program where tech assessment is NOT one of the national CTE assessments.

Assessment Measure Code OOC41, (CTE Technical AssessmentOther) will no longer be collected since CTE Program Fact data will be limited to NYSED-approved programs. Assessments that are not part of NYSED-approved programs do not need to be reported.

No endorsement on diploma, no CTE pathway =no extra CCR points.

Yes, but-care must be taken to check alignment between the diploma type and what the CTE program service record shows. A student in an approved program with a CTE program service record showing program completion and passing the technical skills assessment is likely (there are exceptions) to have earned the endorsement, but the district has not recorded the diploma type correctly. Conversely, there are times the diploma type showing the CTE endorsement exists when there is no program service record-this must also be investigated.

Nationally Certified CTE Exam take and pass nationally certified CTE exam in a non approved program, no endorsement on diploma, no CTE Pathway =2CCR points The Nationally Certified CTE exams would be the list of 30 CTE exams that were deleted this year ie NOCTI, Skills USA.

The 30 exams were the first CTE assessments approved for the 4+1, they are not nationally certified.泭 The list of the original 30 was removed because there is no longer a separate approval process for the technical skills assessments in CTE programs.

So the 00C40 would be used for some New Vision Programs (they are not approved), but some do offer the national exam.

No. A list of nationally certified CTE exams has not yet been developed. Assessments that are not part of NYSED-approved programs do not need to be reported.
