In-Residency Program Runs from July 6 Through August 2, 2025
The 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ is proud to announce the start of the (NYSSSA), beginning Sunday, July 6, at SUNY Fredonia. This year, 145 talented students in grades 8–12 will participate in the four-week, intensive in-residency program. These young artists will immerse themselves in their chosen disciplines, receiving individualized coaching, leadership development, and pre-professional training.
NYSSSA is comprised of three component schools: Visual Arts, Media Arts, and Theatre.
Selected through a competitive application process, students were chosen based on the strength of their portfolios and demonstrated commitment to the arts. While living in campus dormitories, students will engage in rigorous, six-day-a-week instruction led by accomplished professional artists, companies, and professors. The program will culminate in final performances and exhibitions, showcasing the students’ growth and achievements.
Molly Hennighausen, Executive Director of the 91°µÍøÆƽâ°æ Summer School of the Arts,Ìýsaid, "We are thrilled to welcome this year’s exceptional cohort of students to NYSSSA. Each of these young artists brings incredible passion, curiosity, and dedication to their craft, and it is truly inspiring to witness their growth throughout this immersive program. NYSSSA provides a rare and transformative environment where students can push the boundaries of their creativity, learn from accomplished professional artists, and build lifelong friendships and connections. I can’t wait to see the powerful and innovative work they will produce this summer — and to watch them carry these experiences forward into their future artistic journeys."
